Strengthening Ties With Wall Street:
PCIA’s Technology Committee

One of the most important challenges facing the tower and antenna site industry today is attracting and maintaining the support of the financial community. To address this, PCIA has formed a Technology Committee — a group dedicated to promoting effective communications and uniform understanding of technologies and service-related issues relevant to the future of the tower industry.

The committee was born from a need to ensure that companies in the rapidly evolving tower industry are using the same language to explain tower related technology issues to the financial community. In today's economic environment, analysts' input and evaluations are critical to the financial success of the infrastructure industry.

PCIA’s Technology Committee develops PCIA White Papers to educate the financial community on infrastructure concerns, in a proactive manner. Specifically, the Technology Committee identifies and evaluates the effect of new and emerging technologies on the wireless siting industry.

White paper topics include:

• Network interoperability
• Network sharing
• Homeland security
• E911 effects on infrastructure companies
• Tower metrics
• FAA compliance and technologies

Representatives from Crown Castle International, SBA, SpectraSite, and American Tower participate on the committee.
