PCIA Names New Chief Executive
February 18, 2005, Alexandria, Va. --- PCIA, the Wireless Infrastructure Association today announced that Michael T.N. Fitch has been named the new president and chief executive officer of the organization. Fitch will take over the lead on March 1, 2005. He succeeds Jay Kitchen, who announced his retirement last September.
Fitch, an internationally recognized expert on radio and satellite telecommunications, was most recently with the Boeing Company and Hughes Electronics in California. Prior to Boeing and Hughes, his experience includes 20 years of executive management at the US Department of State and the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, DC. Fitch was responsible for policy and licensing as a Division Chief and Bureau Chief at the FCC, and also served as Senior Legal and International Adviser to the Chairman. He was Office Director and Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of International Communications and Information Policy at the Department of State.
