PCIA Wins RCR Wireless News Readership Award
Association Honored for its "Carriers Attend Free" Print Ad

November 11, 2003, Alexandria, VA --- PCIA, The Wireless Infrastructure Association was honored with an AD/Q Award for its Carriers Attend Free print ad that appeared in the August 18, 2003 issue of RCR Wireless News. The ad promoted a free pass program for carriers to PCIA’s Wireless Infrastructure Conference & Expo.

AD/Q Studies, a Division of Harvey Research, Inc., presented PCIA with the award in recognition of the Carriers Attend Free advertisement that achieved outstanding reader response as measured against all other ads in RCR Wireless News for the week.

A full 27 percent of the attendees at PCIA’s First Annual Wireless Infrastructure Conference & Expo were carriers and took advantage of the free carrier registration as promoted in the award winning ad. Dozens of carriers from T-Mobile, Nextel, Sprint, Cingular, AT&T Wireless and Verizon were part of PCIA’s show.

The carrier attendee support PCIA received was underscored by the reader recall for PCIA’s Carriers Attend Free ad. A phenomenal 47 percent of the readers surveyed said they remembered the PCIA ad. Additionally, the average recall-score for ads in RCR Wireless News is 102, yet PCIA’s ad scored a huge 177.
