Women Executives Take Center Stage at PCIA Show

Twenty percent of PCIA Show Speakers are Women

September 3, 2003, Alexandria, VA --- Some of the most prominent executives in the wireless industry are women and they will be heard from in record numbers at the upcoming PCIA Wireless Infrastructure Conference & Expo from October 1-3, in Hollywood, FL. Women are increasingly taking a leading role in developing and delivering educational content and their new showcase is PCIA’s Wireless Infrastructure Show.

Women executives figure prominently in every aspect of PCIA’s show agenda and are a vital part of every track from regulatory to finance to business and technology. Women executives will either lead or serve as panelists on the highest profile PCIA educational sessions including Staying Compliant with Part 17 Antenna Structure Registration, Rights-of-Way Regulatory Issues, and the much talked about Homeland Security & Critical Infrastructure session.

“This was not by design,” said Jay Kitchen, President of CEO of PCIA, the Wireless Infrastructure Association. “We asked our education committee to find us the best speakers and moderators and we signed the best. It just so happens that a high percentage are women.”

Twenty percent of all PCIA Wireless Infrastructure Conference & Expo Speakers are women. In fact, three of the four presenters on the Siting, Zoning Tips, Trends and Fundamentals session are women.

“Women participating as PCIA Conference speakers is another indicator of how progressive the wireless infrastructure industry is,” said Julie Coons, Executive Vice President, PCIA. “This is a young industry and we look for the best people to help us grow, regardless of gender. There is a level playing field with a lot of opportunity. ”
