Thomas E. Goode is PCIA’s New Director
of Government Affairs
Seasoned Association Counsel Joins PCIA Government and Industry Affairs Team

Wednesday , August 18, 2004, Alexandria, VA. --- PCIA, the Wireless Infrastructure Association announced today that it has hired Thomas Goode to serve as the association’s Government Affairs Director. Mr. Goode has been counsel to several national associations and has practiced in the telecommunications field for nearly 13 years.

Mr. Goode most recently worked on federal regulatory matters for Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). Before ATIS, he worked with German technology companies to establish legal, regulatory and deployment strategies in U.S., South American and European markets. Mr. Goode also served as Associate General Counsel with the United Telecom Council (UTC), where he represented members before Congress and federal regulatory agencies and served as counsel for UTC’s Business Development and International Divisions.

Mr. Goode’s PCIA responsibilities include building and maintaining strong industry relationships with partner and government agency staff to effectively represent PCIA members' interests. This includes proactively interacting with key government agencies such as the FCC, Federal Aviation Administration, state and local governments as well as key strategic partners. He will work with PCIA members to plan, formulate and recommend policies and programs that will further the objectives of the antenna and siting industry and direct and manage the work of outside counsel.

“Tom has a strong background in the telecommunications industry and a tremendous mix of for-profit and non-profit legal experience,” said PCIA President and CEO Jay Kitchen. “Our members will be able to fully take advantage of that experience as PCIA continues to protect their interests.” Mr. Goode reports to Connie Durcsak, Senior Director, Government and Industry Affairs and joins Andrea Bruns, Government Relations Director at PCIA.

He has a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC and earned and B.A. in Political Science from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD.
