AT&T Wireless, Sprint PCS, T-Mobile & Winstar to zero
in on tower interests at conference sessions

July 15, 2003, Alexandria, Va. --- Wireless carriers with tower interests are sending senior representatives to the upcoming PCIA tower show in record numbers. Senior representatives from AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint PCS, and Winstar have confirmed as speakers in the conference program of the PCIA Wireless Infrastructure Conference & Expo, which will take place October 1 - 3 in Hollywood, Florida at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa.

"We know how important carriers with tower interests are to our exhibitors, which is why we're taking steps to ensure that attendees at our show have access to the perspective that only their carrier customers can bring," said Jay Kitchen, PCIA President & CEO.

Kitchen adds that having a show floor full of the right carriers is important to PCIA. "We have the right carrier audience -- the carriers important to our exhibitors are those with real estate, regional siting, site acquisition, regulatory siting compliance and network operations titles," he said. "Our exhibitors want carriers with purchasing decisions and we have that area more than covered."

Catherine Blue, Vice President, Land Use & Commercial Transactions at AT&T Wireless and Laura Altschul, Director of Government Affairs at T-Mobile will both be speaking at the educational conference entitled Siting & Zoning Tips, Trends & Fundamentals. Blue and Altschul are recognized experts in zoning policy and management.

Jim Meyers, Assistant Vice President of Site Development at Sprint PCS and Jon Morris, National Real Estate Manager, Wireless Network Services for AT&T Wireless will weigh in on the Developing Rock Solid Tower/Carrier Partnerships session.

Joe Sandri, Senior Vice President and Regulatory Counsel at Winstar will provide the carrier perspective in the Rights-of-Way Regulatory Issues conference session.

Other educational sessions of interest to carriers include sessions on the Battle Over Prime Spectrum, The Carrier Viewpoint: How Regulatory Policies Shape the Wireless Infrastructure Marketplace, and Understanding Environmental Tower Law & Staying Ahead of Federal Policy Developments. Tower companies, carriers and FCC officials will participate in those sessions.

"Carriers and tower companies work together everyday to ensure the high quality, ubiquitous wireless coverage that consumers demand," said Kitchen. "PCIA has always advocated and lobbied for the entire siting industry, including site professionals at carrier companies. We have a long-standing relationship with carriers with tower interests and they will significantly contribute at the PCIA Tower show. "

The exhibit floor features companies of all sizes from across the wireless infrastructure industry. To register for PCIA's Wireless Infrastructure Conference & Expo, please go to www.pcia.com.
